The Theology of God's Love

The Theology of God's Love

The word 'theology' means the 'Study of the Logic of God'.  Wow, who got to determine that God's thinking included 'logic'? I'm not sure about you, but I'm not going there?
LOGIC: the branch of philosophy concerned with analysing the patterns of reasoning by which a conclusion is properly drawn from a set of premises, without reference to meaning or context Say what???
I'm not going to pretend to be smart enough to understand the "Logic" of God. But; I feel very safe in deducing logically from Scripture that God is Love!
Zeph. 3:17, Rom. 5:5, 8:39, Eph 2:4, 1 Jn. 4:7,*8,10,12,16,20
Thankfully; God does not expect us to respond in an unintelligent way to the greatest revelation of knowledge and understanding that man could possibly perceive; The Love of God!  to remain in a haze of confusion concerning our origin, our identity, our eternal destiny and our present standing before him."
The Love of God: Jesus Christ is infinitely more than an historic Hero; He is both the mirror image of an invisible God, and at the same time the reflection and blueprint of every person's original design. His life, death and resurrection represent the human race, preserved and revealed in the most documented ancient record, and confirmed in our faith
He has made it possible for us to come into the same understanding, to enjoy an equal appreciation of that which he himself enjoys.  True companionship only makes sense in an environment of mutual compatibility.  The mission of Jesus was not to add to the mystery of Diety but to bring absolute clarity regarding the person of God as the Father of the human race!"
Most of us were taught that God would love us "if" and "when" we change. In fact, God loves you so that you can change. What empowers change, what makes you desirous of change is the experience of love. It is that inherent experience of love that becomes the engine of change. -Richard Rohr
"Spirituality and eternal life is knowing that our relationship of love with God does not have to be put on pause while we fish, eat a steak, play golf, watch a movie, or listen to the Beatles.

Our lives and His have become one, and even when we are not consciously engaging Him, there is a relationship that continues under our noses. You do not have to punch in and out of union depending on your external activities. Whether you're on a date with your spouse, watching Batman, or lying prostrate on your face in worship, you are in union with Christ, and you can relate to Him in those moments." (Jeff Turner)
